Data Story 2 Proposals

1. So I may retry the MLS Superdraft idea I had for Data Story I because I found data on each of the draftees that I believe I could make a map visual for, showing where each went to school by displaying them as points on a map, but I'm still not quite sure what the story would be, because I haven't evaluated the data for location trends yet.

2. Still on the soccer subject, I think I could create a Data Story about the records of national soccer teams over the past 50 years or so. It would be a piece evaluating teams successes over time, most likely highlighting a few particular teams that are successful now, and comparing their records over the years.

3. I'd like to do a piece on Olympic women's ski racing winners, most likely limiting the story to Giant Slalom or Super G competitions, and evaluate the competitiveness of the event each year by looking at the top ten finishes and comparing the proximity of the finish times. I'm not versed in the history of the Super G event, or racing being an option for women in general, so I may be able to compare the results from all the Olympics with that event. Regardless, the topic would be women's Olympic ski racing and the specifics depend on what I learn about the sport's history.
